WEEK 1 HOME MTC:

Hello everyone, Szia! I've now been a missionary for a week and a half. I LOVE IT!! Let me tell you why. Home MTC life includes long longgg hours sitting on zoom, 2 hour calls with my AWESOME companion, walks and bike rides with my missionary friends, and lots of home cooked meals, which sorry, but all of you who didn't do home MTC never got the luxury of! It definitely takes a lot of self motivation to stay focused when the rest of your family is around. I went up to our family reunion and did classes most of the day, but got to be with everyone at night which was super fun. Here are some highlights from this past week and a half......

- We had an assignment to talk to some converts and ask them questions about why they decided to join the church. I got to talk to two! One of which my older sister, Eliza helped to teach and baptize in England! It was amazing to hear her conversion story, and the role my sister was able to play in her conversion. After growing up Catholic and having some rough experiences, she looked into many other churches, none of them felt right. She came upon the LDS website and messaged the missionaries for a Book of Mormon, this notified the missionaries and led to her being taught by my sister and her companion. I asked her what was different from our church compared to the many others that she had researched.This was her response: "I finally felt like I could be forgiven. The concept that Heavenly Father was a loving, not a punishing and hateful God made me know that this was the truth." Jesus Christ's atonement is what helps us through this life. If we come unto him and repent, he will give us peace! That is such an incredible concept! It makes me think of this scripture: Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." 

- My companion, Jensen Nővér is from Providence Utah, and is the coolest! We usually facetime for longer than our schedule says to because we have so much fun talking together. We found out that both our dads are bald and had a good laugh about that. And my district is the BEST

Went to the zoo for my last Pday and it was so fun!
