Can you all believe it?! Only 3 weeks until I leave for Hungary. I am so excited. The weeks have flown by! This week has been especially different and fun. I drove up to my companion's house in Logan to have a comp sleepover. I've been at her house for 4 days, and she'll come down to my house until Saturday! The first time we saw each other in person was soo strange. I felt like I knew her so well but we had never even met in person. We kept patting each other's arms saying "it's so weird you're a real person, not just a face on a screen." haha. She is the sweetest, and so is her family. We've been on hikes, morning walks, gone to breakfast, gone to the temple, and had lots of fun surprising our district that we were together. It's actually been very productive to study in person with her, (most of the time hah).

Went on a hike with my companion in Providence Utah

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
-I've been thinking about everyone saying a mission will be hard. People always talk about how it was the "hardest thing they've ever done" or "I learned so many lessons through hard work." And that always kind of scared me. Some days I get nervous thinking, how hard is it gonna be? When is that super hard day gonna hit? Will I be able to do it? And the more I think about it I realize, all life is going to be difficult! Everyone talks about how hard a mission is during Covid or how days can seem long and repetitive and boring. When in reality, that's life! Work can seem repetitive, school can seem repetitive, being a Mom can seem repetitive! But being a missionary my only job every day is to put others before myself and let them know of the love of Christ and his restored gospel! That not only gives me purpose, but a HUGE job to do! There's no time to waste thinking about what I'll miss or what is inconvenient. There's no time to waste wishing my mission was over and I was married or whatnot. And I think that's a good life lesson! If you're constantly thinking that your current state is repetitive and boring and hard, you'll never be happy! So enjoy where you are right now! Whether you are going to school or work or whether you're 95!

- Here are some powerful chapters in the Book of Mormon!
      - 3 Nephi 11: all about Jesus Christ! Helps me realize the grand purpose of this book
      - Moroni 8: Infants and Baptism. Why God is a god of forgiveness and many                 chances. There is life after death!!

FUN
- Jensen Nővér and I decided that for one of our comp studies we would try ONLY speaking in Hungarian. And if we didn't know a word we weren't allowed to look it up in Google Fordito (google translate), we had to look it up in our dictionary. It was SO fun. We were laughing through most of it but it made me so excited to know the language, and made me want to know every single word! I was surprised how much we actually knew. It was definitely broken and far from perfect, but we could at least understand each other. It was amazing to walk around at night quizzing each other on vocab feeling like a real missionary with a real companion.

- I'm meeting about half of my district and some of my teachers today! They're coming to my house to have lunch. I can't wait to meet all of them!

- OH UM. I'M SENDING THIS MUSIC VIDEO! I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GREAT MISSIONARY TOOL. I want to thank Pete Breinholt who helped me record the music. Also, many thanks to my brother's wife Haylie, and her younger brother Matthew Vandenberge who put together the video. It's on my facebook, instagram, and the youtube link below!
