I MADE IT TO MAGYARORSZรG! ๐ญ๐บ๐HUNGARY
Szia szia everyone! WOW. Hungary is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I don't even know where to start!
| I said goodbye to family and took off on my flight. |
I was so happy to have my entire MTC group at the airport with me! All 14 of us met up in Amsterdam and it was so comforting to travel with this amazing group I had gotten to know so well over the last 9 weeks.
We got into Budapest after many hours and met President Rucker and his wife at the airport!| President and Sister Rucker!! |
We got to walk around the beautiful city of Budapest and I tried my first Gulyรกs. It was unreal and so beautiful. I will be sending many pictures!

Then we stayed in Budapest for the night and got our trainers and areas in the morning!
My comps name is Karli Van Wagoner and she's from American fork Utah. She only has 2 months left in her mission! So I have a a veryyy experienced trainer!! She knows the city we are in very well and many people in it! It makes it so fun because everyone seems to wave at us on the streets. She also is a master at the language which us so helpful!! I am so lucky to serve with her.
• I am serving in the cutest town called Pรกpa ( pronounced PApuh not papa) And every street looks like Disneyland!! The houses are so colorful and Pรฉksรฉgs ( bakeries pronounced pake-shage) line every street. There is such an amazing religious history.

•We have so many friends in this city! One amazing lady's name is Heni. She had us over and we talked about the Book of Mormon. You loves Moroni, and told us that whenever her friends come over she reads them parts from the Book of Mormon and they always seem to solve their problems! She was the sweetest and gave us lots of fruit from her garden. As we walked home I just felt so much joy. I had arms full of fruit and the sun was shining and a cute old nรฉni (older woman) waved to us from out of her window and I realized that the gospel makes us so happy! :))
We also taught a wonderful woman "K" and her son the restoration! I was able to recite the first vision in Hungarian! We also gave her 10 year old son a Book of Mormon he seems really interested in the gospel which is so cool.
So much happened in this last week, I wish I could bottle it all up up and share it with all of you! We had dinner with a couple members and I was able to speak in Sacrament meeting, just a quick intro. Yesterday we did a bike ride with the bishop up and his wife and their cute son named รbi.
I am in love with this place already. My Hungarian is coming along, even though it is really hard. I just try to pick up what I can. The people here are so so kind, so any idea that you have that Hungarians are mean is not true! They are the best. Every day it gets better!
• Something that I learned this week is that that we are ALL on the same team! I should work with my companion because we're both trying to bring people to the same Jesus christ and the same God. This goes for our district, our zone, our entire mission, and the entire world! That one baptism that happens in Brazil is not something to be jealous of. Or if the church seems to be growing somewhere else we should be sad that it's not happening to us. We should rejoice! Just like Alma 28 14 says: but I do not joy in my own success alone but my joy is more full because of the success of my brother in who have been up to the land of Nephi.
If you made it this far, a LEGJOBB VAGY!!! ( you're the best) Szeretlek titeket!!

Here is the link for me trying my first Hungarian bull whip! I get it to crack the second time!! Worth the watch! Haha
