Week 18: I Got Sick This Week ๐ท๐ค
Like many of our friends we are teaching, I also got sick this week. Nothing too serious, just a cold, but I still had to take a day to rest and get better. Still an awesome week though! We met Z in the cold rain and had a cool conversation with her about the sacrament, and the Bible. The situation for meeting was less than ideal and she didn't have a lot of time, but we feel such an amazing spirit when we're with her, and she has such a desire to learn.
We had mission conference and I learned so much from our amazing mission presidents. Then we had a Europe devotional from Elder Bednar and President Nelson. They gave a history of the church in Europe, which was so cool to see. Europe has been through so much, and has so much history. I'll send the link so that you all can watch it! Here are just a couple insights I got from mission conference and this devotional. Before President Nelson spoke, his wife Wendy shared some thoughts about him and some of his characteristics. She described him in about 6 ways.
1. He is attentive and alert
2. He sees those in need
3. He is in awe of God's laws
4. He finds joy in serving others
5. He knows the Lord loves effort, so he does does it himself and admires it in others
6. He never delays!!
Those are all such amazing qualities. I look up to President Nelson so much, and I'm so grateful God has given us such an incredible prophet to guide his work. The gospel and the gather of Israel is so exciting! It brings so much joy, and even though it may look as though religion is decreasing throughout the world, it's also spreading like it never has before! The Lord's work is growing, it will not stop. And we can either choose to be apart of it take part in the Joy, or not be!
It snowed here in Pรกpa! It's absolutely freezing here in Hungary. But also sunny so it's beautiful
