WEEK 36: COME THOU FOUNT of EVERY BLESSING + TRANSFERS

Music Video, "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing," Elder Caine, Sister Robinson and Sister Jones.

Big news! I will be receiving a new companion!!! Her name is sister Robinson and she is also from my MTC group. She plays the violin beautifully as shown in this video. It will be fun to do duets together! I'm so grateful for Sister Smyth and all that I have learned from her. She will be training in a new city called Szombathely!

As far as my week goes, we had return and report, which is where all those who are being trained as well as the trainers come to Budapest. We had a little conference and prepared sandwiches for everyone as well as a language jeopardy game!

It was so fun! President and Sister Rucker participated. After that we had some trainings and then walked up to the Buda Castle city lookout and read the dedicatory prayer of Hungary. It was such a cool experience!

We taught a new referral about the Book of Mormon and he asked how much it was. We gladly shared it was for free! We taught him about the Restoration and the Plan of Salvation! He spoke so fast. I'm grateful for the gift of tongues.

We taught B about temples and it was a very spiritual experience. We watched the Italy temple tour video with him and he really enjoyed it. He just kept saying "Wow" and "Beautiful." We have seen him progress, feel the spirit, and have the increased desire to learn about Jesus Christ. He now takes notes in our lessons. πŸ™Œ
District Meeting

I had the courage to talk to a man on the bus. He was old/middle aged, very Hungarian looking. Big mustache, very intimidating, reading the newspaper. I finally asked him what the next stop was and we talked for a little bit. We ended up getting his phone number! I just looked at him and thought, he could potentially be a priesthood leader here. He could be a temple worker. And both of those options seemed more worth it than any feelings of embarrassment I could have potentially received from talking to this man. I am glad I followed this spiritual prompting.
Teaching "Come Follow Me" Keeping Christ at the Forefront.

I have been diving into the book of Mormon lately. Feasting on it! And let me tell you it fills me with so much joy. I have been reading it along side Come Follow Me, which has added increased knowledge and understanding to my book of Mormon study. I am currently in Alma 46. In verse 23, Moroni uses the story of Joseph when his coat was rent by his brethren, and he says to remember to keep the commandments of God or their garments shall be rent by their brethren and they will be cast into prison. He tells them to preserve their liberty as a remnant of Joseph. And to remember how God preserved him. I loved that! Moroni used the words and the story of a past prophet to inspire others! And it worked! Just as we use it today. Every time I read the Book of Mormon, I realize how important it is to remember God!
