Week 42: FIVE Friends in Church!

I painted this scene on the Book of Mormon💗

This letter will be a short one. But wow what a great week! Sister Robinson and I sang "A Child's Prayer" in sacrament meeting and played our guitars. We invited many of our friends. And guess what, some of them came!!! Two of them were our english class friends, one was a man I met on a bus, the other was B the friend we are teaching, and last was V. She is the one we went to the ballet with a couple weeks ago. It meant so so much to see her there. It was a wonderful feeling to watch them come in and sit by us one after another. They smiled and sat down and it was just like having a little support group of my Hungarian best friends who are all over the age of 35 haha. I just become more and more grateful for my mission as time goes on. I am making the most unlikely of friends here, and I love it. There is no where else I would rather be.

President and Sister Rucker, Me, Sister Robinson, The AP's  Elder Ballard and Elder Moreton

We had transfers and I am staying with my companion here in Budapest!! woohoooo!! I love sister Robinson so much. We are getting a new AP though! Sad to say goodbye to Elder Moreton, he has been so great to work with.

A couple other highlights from the week were an Italian themed dinner at my favorite members house. There daughter just moved to Farmington Utah, about 10 minutes away from my cousins! She will be there for one year as a foreign exchange student. So cool! I really hope she can connect with my family there somehow.
We also taught our friend V again and painted Books of Mormon with her! We also got to help her out in a really difficult situation. We have really developed a relationship with her and it has been cool to see how much she trusts God. We taught her about spiritual gifts.

We did quite a bit of media work this week. I feel like I am finally starting to get the hang of it, although I still have a long way to go.

My final thought I will share is just how important covenants are. They are soo cool! Go read 1 Nephi 22. It is all about how God works with us and communicates with us. God is like a trainer or a coach. He wants us to succeed. To grow in ways we couldn't imagine growing by ourselves. He gives us these amazing covenants to help push us and keep us accountable. He gives and we give. We give, he gives. We remember them, we receive knowledge and comfort and guidance and blessings! They help truly give us so much clarity ( not to mention making covenants with God is kind of required if we want to find joy and live with him again. ) So ya. I am a fan of covenants, and of God.

Have a wonderful week!
