Week 51: The Lord's Instrument
We went to teach a lesson in a village that was 30 minutes away. We were both wearing sweaters in the thick summer heat, because when we woke it was chilly... by mid day we were dying. We couldn't find the bus station, missed the first two busses, and we were running about 30 minutes late. I called our investor though and she said it was still good for us to come. The bus finally came but there were no seats so we stood the whole way. We finally arrived to find only her husband home. He gave us a confused look and told us his wife had gone to the main city (where we live originally!!!) We tried calling her and it appears she may have blocked us?? So frustrating.
Well after suffering from the heat, no water, and no successful contacts of inactives in the area, we hear someone call out to us "Sisters!" We met a man named Roberto from the Philippines. He spoke little English, but told us he was a member in the Philippines, and that he had another member friend that lived not too far! What are the odds? He then explained that he worked in this small city and hadn't been to church since living in Hungary. We got his contact information. Talk about God placing us in the right place at the right time

Here is some of my revelations from the week.
My revelation this week was told to me by my companion. She said that I need to make my mind peaceful before I can try to give peace to others. The gospel IS peaceful! It is joyful. And this week, I was having a harder time feeling the joy of the gospel. So much fell through, only a couple people showed up to English class, and I really didn't see the effects of my labors. In shorter terms, I was stressed. But that was a great reminder to me. I need to find peace in the gospel and LIVE it.
Spiritual thought.
I came upon upon section in 2 chapter of PMG called "Seek Divine Light". It had suggested scriptures from D&C and the Book of Mormon. One of my favorite scriptures was D&C 84:86 "And the Spirit giveth light to every man that cometh into the world; and the Spirit enlighteneth every man through the world, that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit." The part that stood out to me was that the spirit enlightens us through the world. That tells me two things.
1. Miracles are all around us! That evidence of God and his love for us seriously surrounds us on this earth.
2. We are supposed to be here on earth! This world is a teaching experience, the perfect atmosphere the learn and grow.
That's all!
Much more happened but those are some of the highlights.
Jó hetet kívánok!
We went to Miskoc, Lilafüred for Pday! Here are the photos
