Week 62: On TV!....AGAIN?
Luckily we got in contact with the communications director for the church in Hungary. She was awesome and gave us some pointers of what to say and not say. If and when we forgot what to say she said "focus on Jesus!" And that worked. Under the pressure I always went back to talking about Jesus christ and the words seemed to flow from there. Life really is easier when HE is the center. The center of all of this. Make Him the center of your December and it will be the most meaningful Christmas season yet.

I begin answering questions 2 minutes into the interview
Aside from the interview, we had some great meetings with our friends. "R" from Brazil, "N" who was a referral, and a new friend named "N"! She is a Bible referral miracle! Usually these facebook referrals do not work for us. Most people think we are scammers when we call or don't remember signing up. But this woman was thrilled! We traveled and hour to her house and when we arrived she had snacks prepared for us.
She asked many many questions about out church and is truly just seeking to find truth! She asked if we could come over every day and we told her because of travel most likely not, but we are very excited to see her progress!
-Our Thanksgiving dinner was actually pretty decent. We ate crepes and my companion made a caramel apple pie!
I was able to talk to my family while they were having Thanksgiving dinner and we shared our thoughts of gratitude together! What a wonderful change it is that missionaries can talk to their families on these holidays!

- we got to go to Debrecen for district conference. District conference includes 4 other branches all in the east. I got called up to give a surprise testimony midway through the meeting! How fun. It was really fun to be there with the members from Eger and we all ate yummy stuffed cabbage afterwards.
This week my heart was touched by a song that is usually sang with vigor and not seen as very deep. At least when I usually sing Called to Serve I tune out the lyrics and just have fun singing ONWARD ever ONWARD. But in our mission we sing this song every week as we gather for an online meeting called mission momentum. I always enjoy them as we discuss miracles, house keeping items etc. But we always open with that song. This week the lyrics were stuck in my head and I wrote them out during personal study in Hungarian. The direct translation into English brought the spirit so strongly and I wanted to share them with you all.
Called, ready to serve
We preach God's holy name
Whether close or far we shout out his plan, the plan of the Father's love.
Forward! Let's go forward! Glorifying his holy name.
Forward! Let's go forward! Glorifying his holy name.
Forward! Let's go forward, proclaiming his victory.
God will be our strength, so let's go forward all for our great king!
I was feeling inspired by these lyrics!! I'm greatful to be on God's team. I love to be his servant in this great work.
