Week 12: I AM TRAINING !!

Yep. You heard it here first. I'm training right out of training. When my trainer left, it kind of felt like someone took my left leg away. Now getting a greenie feels like they're handing me a baby and telling me to run this one legged race holding a new child. These next couple weeks are going to be A LOT of growing. I feel I little unqualified to train at this point. But the best part is God gives us so many examples of people who felt unqualified and made them great. (Moses, Joseph Smith, Nephi) I feel like I've always sort of believed the scripture where God promises to make "weak things strong." But it's not until I'm here In Hungary, thinking on how on earth I'll get around on trains and metros and share the gospel and lead lessons and help teach someone else a different language that I truly feel a little weak. And I absolutely need God's help. I need to depend on him.

Other news:
•My trainer goes home tomorrow and I officially get my greenie on Thursday! I will be staying and training in my city of Pápa which I am actually really excited about. I'm so excited to introduce her to all the friends Van Wagoner Nővér and I have been teaching

•My phone broke!!!!! We were having our district activity in Sopron and I had just taken a picture of everyone. I went to put it back in my pocket, and it slipped and bounced and fell down the chute of 4 flights of stairs. On the concrete. All the way to the bottom 😑

•We had a Christmas concert for our ward! My companion and I sang silent night in Hungarian while I played the guitar. I also sang Peace in Christ, and angels we have heard on high and another in Hungarian. Me, my companion, and an old bácsi in the ward were putting on the whole concert. Here comes the good part. Before we left I found an old dress in the closet. It was really cute and wondered why someone would ever leave it behind! Yea, there was a button missing but it was so cute I wore it anyway.  Welll it came to about 10 minutes before we were to preform and another button just fell off. I bent down to pick up the button and another one fell of! Ahh! It was so bad. I had to scoot around to preform in front of everyone because I was so scared the whole thing would fall apart! I guess it was left in that closet for a reason 🤦‍♀️

• so so many miracles getting my trainer and all her luggage back to Budapest. I swear there are ALWAYS angels on travel days. We will be struggling with our bags and hurrying to catch trains and out of nowhere will pop out egy nagy erős magyar férfi ( big strong Hungarian man) to help us with our stuff. It happened multiple times.

I'm truly just so grateful for the opportunity to be on a mission. It's hard but seeing how real life problems can be uplifted and sloved through the gospel of Jesus Christ amazing. We met with Klaudia and Rikardo again and she came in absolutely stressed. Her other little boy was screaming and trying to steal money from her purse and the other little girl was being equally difficult. We taught a simple lesson about Nephi having faith the get the plates from Laban, and they all left smiling and calm. Never underestimate what God can do for you. He knows you and loves you and is there for you! Because I've seen his hand in my life so far and in the lives of these people!!

Love
Jones Nővér

We are staying in Budapest for a few days until I get my new trainee. We were able to go to some Christmas Markets on our P-Day.
